Does the Square Terminal have monthly fees?
No. The core software is free and there is no rental, statement or PCI compliance fee. You pay for the device ($399 or $34 a month for 12 months) and the per-transaction processing fees.
Does it work in a taxi or a van?
Yes, through your phone's hotspot or a mobile Wi‑Fi puck. Several taxi fleets in Quebec already run it this way.
Does it print receipts?
Yes, the thermal printer is built in. You can also send receipts by text or email.
