Restaurants, bars, caterers and food trucks in Quebec must record every sale in Revenu Québec's WEB-SRM. Square does not do this on its own: it is paired with Master Your Rush, a certified POS and Square partner that handles ordering and mandatory billing while Square processes payments. We set up and test this combination with you before opening day.

Is Square compliant with Quebec's WEB-SRM?
Not on its own. Food and beverage businesses in Quebec use Square with Master Your Rush, a WEB-SRM-certified POS and Square partner: Master Your Rush records sales with Revenu Québec and Square processes payments. That is the combination we install.
Is Square for Restaurants free?
There is a free version. The Plus plan costs $60 per month per location (unlimited KDS, 24/7 support), plus $40 per month for each additional countertop POS device. We recommend the plan that fits your volume and number of devices.
How are Quebec alcohol taxes handled?
Taxes are configured per item or category (GST, QST, tax-inclusive or not). We prepare that configuration with you.
Can I keep my kitchen printer?
Square-compatible printers can be reused. Otherwise, Square KDS replaces paper tickets with a kitchen screen.
