Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Rive Payments (a brand of Marchand M.C INC., "we") collects on this site, why, and what your rights are under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and Canada's PIPEDA.
Privacy officer
Mehdi Charrier, Executive Director — info@rivepaiements.com — 3 Place Ville Marie, bureau 400, Montréal, QC H3B 2E3.
Information we collect
- Forms: name, business name, email, phone, city, type of business, approximate volume and the message you write. We use them only to answer your request and prepare a recommendation.
- Cookies and analytics: with your consent (cookie banner), analytics and advertising tools (for example Google Analytics and Google Ads through Google Tag Manager) set cookies to count visits and measure our campaigns. Without consent, only strictly necessary cookies are used (remembering your choice).
- Technical logs: our host records IP address, browser and pages viewed for security and diagnostics, for a limited time.
What we do not collect
No payment, card or bank account data passes through this site. Opening a Square account happens on Square's sites (Block, Inc. and Square Canada, Inc.), subject to their own privacy notice. The reseller link only tells Square that your account is supported by Rive.
Sharing with third parties
Your information may be processed by our service providers (hosting, form handling, analytics) solely on our behalf and under our instructions. Some providers may be located outside Quebec or Canada; we make sure they offer adequate protection. We never sell your information.
Retention
Contact requests are kept for no more than 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted or anonymized, unless the law requires otherwise.
Your rights
You may request access to your information, its correction or deletion, or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the officer above. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies: managing your choice
The banner shown on your first visit stores your choice in your browser. To change it, clear the site's data in your browser or use the "Cookies" link in the footer.
